Word associated with 'type'
I thought it would be fitting to end my blog on my word associated with type. This was actually done at the start of this module however the fitting message I feel will sum up my blog nicely. We could chose phrase using lettering AND/OR type. I chose to use a phrase. This phrase was make your mark. I chose this as i thought it would be fitting to use it whilst also using ink.
Exhibition elements and Instillation
For the elements to advertise our exhibition I had an idea of making the posters interactive so that it would catch the eye of the general public. Therefore I had an idea of having openings pieces to reveal the word paper within the design. this led to me and the advertising team to sit down and help design a poster. Our instillation help was to hang the poster around all the city campus to spread the word about the exhibition.

Exhibition Catalouge
For our biggest and final outcome it was needed that we created an exhibition catalouge of all of our best works and the work of others in our class. I began with thinking that I wanted something different. Something that would not be overlooked. Therefore even though it was rather difficult to create the shape and design I wanted it to be a triangular catalouge to also fit with my geometric shape design throughout. Overall after completion of the catalouge I was pleased with the design and the uniqueness of it.
3D Installation
In a group of people we deiced to create a 3D instillation that when the light was shone upon it we could see different shadows and to create beautiful pattern wherever it would be hung. The idea was an umbrella that had patterns cut out of the sections so that when the light fell through the umbrella the audience could see the uniqueness of the instillation.
Pathfinder advanced
When in Illustator we have been taught some what on how to use the Pathfinder tool to create cut outs within different shapes. We also learned how to make 3D objects and how to copy and rotate different objects around an axis. My practice of these methods can be seen below. I tried all the different methods that we were tought and put them all on one page to show them all at once.
Exhibition visits
When going on exhibition visits it is important to obtain a variety of photos and look at the building itself the lighting and the layout of the place. All of the following can be seen on all the photos that i have gathered. This can be said for the other exhibitions in this online journal post.
Library Book
When we were asked to go to the Library, I went and collect this book seen below, Delusional. Widely revered as the “artists’ gallerist,” Jonathan Levine has nourished a much needed alternative viewpoint within the New York art market within this book. I enjoyed looking through at a variety of different artists and by using the library it showed me that there was a variety of inspiration within books.
