A2 Poster style layouts

When we had to make an abstract A2 poster I wanted it to be simple yet eye catching. So this meant a simple not overcrowded design but with strong vibrant colors. This is where i got the idea of using one of my texture patterns with in the horse. I took the texture and put it into illustrator  where i live traced it then copied it multiple times and filled each different layer with different colors in Photoshop. it then  needed a catchy along to suite this is where I thought ‘Be original’ would be fitting to the content.

Life Drawings & Still life Drawings

I have combined all of this weeks drawings onto one page a they all work well together and show the difference between the life and still life drawings. When the model came in i wanted to capture the movement in different ways this is why I alternated between pens pencils and chalk. The same can be said for the still life. For certain features like the chair i used a felt tip brown pen which was running out but gave a nice effect. I then used a black Biro to five depth to the draped cloth over it.

4 Textures/Patterns

Texture was always a big part of this paper unit. Therefore when we had to make four different textural drawings I was excited to experiment once again. My first was probably the best as i had incorporated three different textures in one. One was the curled paper then the score makes for the mark and then the blobbing of ink for the grass. The other three were all done with just one implement and one texture. The leaf was a dotted texture. The third was done with a sponge and the last one was done wit toilet roll dipped in ink.
